Easy Strawberry Coulis Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • cup superfine sugar (2.3 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Instructions
 

  • Trim off strawberry tops, then chop the strawberries roughly.
  • Add to a food processor, along with the sugar and the orange juice.
  • Purée for 20 seconds, then scrape down the sides with a spatula. Purée again for another 20 seconds, until smooth.
  • Strain through a fine sieve to remove seeds and any hard or unripe pieces of strawberry.
  • Store in a mason jar in the refrigerator, or in another airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Use a regular blender or immersion stick blender as alternatives. This coulis is thick; pour slowly through the sieve.
