Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil for sautéing

Special Sauce

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pinch salt

Fresh Toppings

  • 2 medium avocados
  • 0.5 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to prevent browning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt for seasoning
  • 1 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 small heads romaine lettuce for base
  • 1.5 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup pickle chips
  • 8-10 slices thick-cut bacon

Preparation Steps

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined, then set aside.
  • Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add the avocado oil and heat until shimmering.
  • Add the ground beef mixture to the skillet. Cook until browned and crumbled, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, maple syrup, dill pickle relish, dried minced onion, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt until combined.
  • In a small bowl, mash the avocados with lemon juice and salt until creamy.
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced red onions and cook until lightly charred, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
  • Divide the romaine lettuce among serving bowls.
  • Spoon cooked ground beef over the lettuce.
  • Arrange cherry tomatoes, pickle chips, bacon, sautéed red onions, and guacamole around the beef.
  • Drizzle the special sauce generously over the top and serve immediately.
