Pizza Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce Use your favorite brand
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pinch dried oregano Optional
  • toppings Your choice: pepperoni, chopped veggies, ham & pineapple, sliced olives, etc.

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Place garlic bread halves face-down on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes to crisp the underside.
  • For air fryer/toaster oven, preheat to 375°F and cook for 3-4 minutes to lightly toast the bread before adding toppings.
  • Flip bread cut-side up. Spread 1 cup pizza sauce evenly over both halves.
  • Sprinkle with 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese and your desired toppings. Add a pinch of oregano or red pepper flakes, if using.
  • For oven, bake for 5-8 minutes, or until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
  • For air fryer/toaster oven, cook at 375°F for 5-6 minutes, checking halfway through, until cheese is bubbly and bread is crisp.
  • Let cool slightly for 2-3 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

Crisp the bread face-down first to prevent soggy bottoms. Use thick garlic bread for the best texture. Don't overload with sauce; a light layer keeps the bread crisp. For variety, try pesto or BBQ sauce, or mix in cheddar or provolone with mozzarella.
