Ingredients
  

Baguette and Toppings

  • 1 fresh baguette
  • extra virgin olive oil for brushing
  • 200 grams double cream brie cheese (or vegan cream cheese)
  • 3 pieces pears sliced, preferably Bartlett
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ cup walnuts roughly chopped

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 F.
  • While your oven is preheating, slice your baguette on a bias into ½ inch slices. Lightly brush each piece with olive oil on both sides, place on a large baking sheet and bake for 2 - 3 minutes each side, until golden brown.
  • On each toasted baguette slice, layer a thin slice of brie cheese (or a spread of vegan cream cheese), sliced pear, crumbled walnuts, and thyme. Drizzle with honey and serve!

Notes

This recipe offers a dairy-free option by using vegan cream cheese instead of brie cheese.
