Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 each eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups pecans chopped
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation Steps

  • Mix butter until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in both sugars and mix for 1-2 minutes until light and creamy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  • Mix in flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Add chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
  • Use a scoop to form balls of dough and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 12-14 minutes.
  • Allow cookies to cool for a minute then remove from baking sheet and continue cooling on a baking rack.

Notes

Be certain to fully preheat your oven before baking cookies. Use a scoop to form evenly sized cookies. Give a bit of extra space on your cookie tray. Allow cookies to fully cool before storing in an airtight container. Use parchment paper on cookie sheets or bake on an ungreased cookie sheet.
