Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned, draining excess grease.
Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet; cook for 30 seconds.
Mix in sugar, then pour in tomato sauce, adding salt and pepper; simmer for 3-5 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mix sour cream and cream cheese until smooth.
Boil egg noodles until desired doneness, then drain.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish, layering half the noodles, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
Repeat the layers with remaining noodles, cream, and meat.
Top with cheddar cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
